Bayern Munich vs FC Schalke 04 Prediction (13.05.2023)

On Saturday afternoon, Bayern Munich hosts Schalke at the Allianz Arena in a massive game at both ends of the Bundesliga table.

The reigning German champions are in a major fight for the title with arch-rivals Dortmund, with the Bavarians top of the table, just a point above BVB.

The Royal Blues head into this clash in good form, having won three of their previous four matches in the Bundesliga. Last time out, Thomas Reis’ team recorded a potentially vital 3-2 win at Mainz.

The victory moved the visitors out of the relegation zone and up to 15th place in the table. However, the team from Gelsenkirchen are still just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Schalke’s recent away record in the Bundesliga is poor, as the visitors have won just two of their last 43 league matches on their travels. However, they ended a three-game winless run on their travels in the German top flight.

Bayern Munich looks set to be without Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernandez, Josip Stanisic and Alphonse Davies through various injuries. The Bavarians are doubts over Dayot Upamecano and Eric Choupo-Moting.

Schalke will be missing Moritz Jenz, Ralf Fahrmann, Soichiro Kozuki and Justin Heekeren through injuries. Defender Eder Balanta is also a fitness doubt.
