The turn around at Millwall over the past few weeks has been very impressive. Returning to the club, Neil Harris has guided them clear of the relegation zone, and it would be a shock to see them fall back. They are in action at home on Friday, with playoff hopefuls West Brom the visitors to the New Den.
Millwall Form GuideUp in 16th, things look good for Millwall. They are still just four points ahead of the relegation zone with eight games to go, so there's still work to be done, but the position they are in was pretty unthinkable six weeks ago. On a downward spiral after losing four on the bounce, since then they've won three and drawn one of their five games, Harris has them scrapping for points, and fighting their way out of trouble.
They do come here on the back of a defeat, their only one under Harris, a 2-0 loss away at Leeds, which was always going to be a tough ask. But wins over Birmingham, Watford and Southampton have been excellent, and something for them to build on, and ensure Championship survival in the final games of the season.
West Brom Form GuideWest Brom, to their credit, have been inside of the playoffs for most of the season, and been a really consistent side. They head into the weekend in 5th position, and have an eight point cushion over teams outside of the playoffs, so plenty of room to move, should things not go their way.
But that doesn't look like it's going to happen, they come here on the back of a six game unbeaten run, with four wins and two losses in that period. They've won their last two games, a 2-0 home win over Bristol City last time out, and before that, a 4-1 away win at Huddersfield.
Match PredictionIt's clear to see how consistent and good West Brom are, and they're respected, but Millwall are finding a way to dig deep and take points, which I really respect. I think the best bet here is to back Millwall on the double chance market, covering them to win or draw this game.
