There's two games left of the Serie A weekend schedule to take place on Monday night and the first of those games sees Salernitana host Udinese. This is a game between two teams who had very difficult starts to the season last weekend, but in those tough games, one side impressed with their fight, while the other was very disappointing.

In their opening game of the new season, it was Salernitana who impressed me, despite not picking up three points. They went away from home to Roma, a good side and top four contender, and they came away with a 2-2 draw. It was a strong showing in difficult circumstances, and something they'll be looking to build on here.

They have two positives for this game, the first is that they are returning home to play this one, and the second is that the quality of opposition in front of them has been reduced. While they showed some small defensive issues last weekend, the character in the team, and ability to take chances, were both on show against Roma.

Udinese ended last weekend at the very bottom of Serie A, after they suffered the joint-biggest defeat on the opening day, and failed to score a goal in their game. It was always going to be a tough one for them, but their poor play led to a 3-0 defeat at home against Juventus.

That was a terrible start in front of their home fans, and the team needs to come here and show some fight. The level of opposition is lower, so Udinese will be able to get some kind of grip on the game at some stage you would hope, but they are away from home in this one, so won't have much crowd support to help them do that.

Both teams will head to this game on Monday looking to get their first win of the season on the board. Last weekend, only Salernitana showed anything like the level of form to do that, and I am hoping they can show the same again here, because they are my pick to win this game.
