The first international break of the season is over and now, it’s time to get back to business as the English Premier League returns for a brand new slate of fixtures across September. There’s still a lot we don’t know about all 20 clubs in the top flight but we’ll get some more answers this weekend, as we get set to see Tottenham Hotspur lock horns with Sheffield United.
Tottenham Form GuideTottenham Hotspur fans are enjoying life under Big Ange and they have every reason to feel that way. While losing Harry Kane was certainly detrimental, their style of football has been improving each and every time they’ve played. The big question is whether or not they’re able to sustain that, especially given how competitive things are within the top clubs in the division.
Spurs had to really fight against Brentford in their opener as they came away with a deserved point. Outside of that they did get knocked out of the League Cup by Fulham, but in the league, it’s been smooth sailing with convincing wins over Manchester United, Bournemouth and Burnley.
Sheffield United Form GuideSheffield United did well to bounce back up from the Championship and while they know it’s going to be a big ask to remain in the big time, the fact of the matter is that they’ve worked hard to get here. They have a squad that features some interesting names with a lot of potential in the eyes of many, but they have to grind if they’re going to pick up big results.
It’s safe to say that the Blades haven’t quite adjusted back to life in the Premier League just yet. They’ve been beaten by Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City, and while they did earn a point against Everton, they were knocked out of the League Cup by Lincoln.
Match PredictionSheffield United will not be going to North London to roll over and that’s going to be on full display in how they approach this encounter. Tottenham hold the cards in terms of overall quality and will probably edge out the result, but the safer option in our view is predicting over 2.5 goals scored.
