We’ve finally arrived at the final week of fixtures in this season’s English Premier League. There are still a handful of things left to be resolved between now and Sunday, and it’ll be fascinating to see who is left celebrating when the dust finally settles and we head into what is bound to be a busy summer. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the fascinating clash between Sheffield United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Sheffield United’s relegation back to the Championship has been confirmed, as many expected. Unfortunately, they’re set to go down as one of the worst teams in the history of the Premier League - but Chris Wilder knew this was a possibility. At this point, it’ll be interesting to see how they’re able to bounce back, and what they can produce between now and the end of the season.

The Blades took on Everton last weekend and, once again, it was the kind of game that will go down as being pretty forgettable. They just couldn’t get things going in the final third and as a direct result of that, they wound up on the receiving end of a 1-0 defeat.

Big Ange has done some great things for Tottenham Hotspur when it comes to the overall quality of their football, but results wise, the success just hasn’t been there. Their last hope is to try and get into a Champions League spot but with the way that the table is right now, it’s looking unlikely. Either way, the summer transfer window is going to be massive for Spurs.

Tottenham may be struggling themselves, but they aren’t afraid of breaking other teams’ hearts when necessary too. They played host to Burnley on Saturday and after a competitive, back and forth game, they secured a 2-1 win to condemn the Clarets to relegation.

If we were to say that this season has been disappointing for United, that would be a dramatic understatement. The same could arguably be true for Spurs, but at the very least, there’s a bit of hope for them as a club heading into the summer. In terms of a prediction here, we’re shooting for a Tottenham win.
