Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur will collide in an all-London affair on Monday night in what should be a fun evening of football at Craven Cottage.
Fulham Form GuideThe Cottagers have had a fantastic season up to this point. After years of being seen as a yo-yo club, they finally appear to be establishing themselves as a side that can mix it up in the top half. The big question now, of course, is how long they can sustain it for, and whether or not they are capable of pushing even higher - back towards some old European ambitions.
Fulham were comfortable, assured and ready to be tested when the new year got underway, and they proved that by beating Leicester on January 3rd. They then knocked Hull out of the FA Cup before surprising a lot of people by defeating Chelsea 2-1. Alas, their run came to an end last weekend courtesy of a missed penalty and a late Newcastle winner.
Tottenham Form GuideTottenham Hotspur keep trying to find the right formula under Antonio Conte but right now, it’s not quite working out, at least not consistently. They have a squad full of talent but they often look so lethargic whenever they are on the ball. If they can try and iron that out of their game, without falling too far behind in the top four race, perhaps there is hope for their season yet.
After dropping a defeat to Aston Villa on New Year’s Day, Spurs rebounded with consecutive wins over Crystal Palace and Portsmouth in the EPL and FA Cup. They went on to face tricky clashes with Arsenal in the derby and Manchester City at the Etihad, both of which they lost, although the latter of the two was far more positive.
Latest Team NewsNeeskens Kebano is the only man confirmed to miss this one for Fulham through injury. Shane Duffy is also a fitness concern due to an illness, although the good news is that Antonee Robinson is back from suspension.
Lucas Moura is still injured and will therefore miss this short trip across the capital. Other than that, Conte is expected to make a handful of changes as he attempts to get his boys back in the win column.
Match PredictionIn terms of an official prediction, we’re going to suggest Tottenham will pull a surprise out of the back and take home all three points.
