Norwich City are clinging onto the final playoff spot and they've had plenty of challengers for the past few weeks. But every time, they've managed to keep clear. Three points ahead with two games to go, a win here may not be enough to secure them 100%, but with the superior goal difference they have, it will as good as secure. They are at home on Saturday, with mid table Swansea the visitors to Carrow Road.
Norwich Form GuideNorwich have been doing enough. It's not always been their best, and definitely not always been good to watch, but they've been putting points on the board to keep pushing forward. Unbeaten in four, with two wins and two draws, they are almost over the line, and just need one final push to get there.
It was a draw last weekend, and a pretty disappointing one too as they drew 1-1 at home to Bristol City. The other recent draw was away at Sheffield Wednesday, a game they were winning 2-0 but drew 2-2. Wins have been 1-0 over Preston and 1-0 over rivals Ipswich, so there have been positives in recent games.
Swansea Form GuideIn a really strange season, full of ups and downs, I think Swansea fans finally have something to shout about. Luke Williams was always going to be a long term plan when he took charge, and finally, I think the team are responding and learning his style. While it makes little difference this season, it will increase hopes for next season without a doubt.
They come into this game on the back of three wins in a row, perhaps their best run of the season. They won 4-0 away at relegation threatened Huddersfield last weekend, and that came after a 1-0 win over Rotherham and 3-0 win over Stoke, so it's been very good, and there is more to come. From those results, you can also see they've not conceded a goal in three games too, another positive.
Match PredictionWhile I completely respect Swansea and what they're doing right now, I have to side with Norwich to win this. They need a final push, and this game is where I think they get that, and win. It may guarantee the playoffs too, depending on other results, but whatever happens elsewhere, I think Norwich do their job.
