We've got 11 games out of 12 from the Championship taking place on what is going to be a very busy and informative Saturday. This one affects both the top and bottom of the standings, with promotion chasing Ipswich the visitors to Wales when they take on Swansea, a side dropping closer and closer to the relegation zone.
Swansea Form GuideNew boss Luke Williams hasn't yet got Swansea playing how he wants them, and they're edging closer to trouble. They begin the weekend in 17th position, but are only seven points off QPR who are in the relegation zone. For now it's fine, but it's only a matter of time before they have to start looking over their shoulder, if performances don't improve.
I thought Swansea were really poor on Tuesday night against Leeds, yes they played one of the best in the league, but there was no fight or spirit in the team. They've lost four of their last five in the league now, the only positive result being a 1-0 away win at Hull, a surprise, elsewhere they've been pretty poor under Williams.
Ipswich Form GuideIpswich have finally been knocked out of second spot in the standings, and actually begin the weekend in 4th position, though there's not much between the three sides battling it out for second. Ipswich are three behind Leeds, with a game in hand, and one off Southampton, who play on Friday night before this.
After three games without a win, plus being dumped out of the FA Cup by non league opposition, Ipswich needed a big win to get back on track, and they got that on Wednesday night. A 4-0 away win at Millwall should have settled the nerves, and they come here looking to back that up with another good performance.
Match PredictionA good performance is what I think Ipswich deliver here, and I think they win this game and take all three points home. They've had a blip, reminded us all what they're capable of on Wednesday, and I think they take care of a poor Swansea side here.
