The Championship returned to action at the weekend, with a full list of games that saw both QPR and Stoke lose. They don't have to wait long to put things right, as they take each other on this Tuesday night, with both looking to bag an important three points, with QPR in particular looking to get something on the board.
QPR Form GuideQPR started the season by playing some pretty poor football, and since then it has all gone one way, and that is worse. They're down just one place off the bottom of the table, six points away from safety, and have just two wins from 17 games. It's time for them to show up, but I just don't think they've got the quality in the side to do that.
It will be interesting to see what they spend in January, and how hard they push to stay in the second tier, but ultimately, points right now are needed and every single one is vital. They lost 1-0 away at Norwich on Saturday, a game they didn't get beaten easily, but at the same time, they didn't really look like scoring themselves.
Stoke City Form GuideI had Stoke down as a team to go well this season back in August, they've failed to live up to that tag though, and have been especially disappointing in the last few games. After what looked like it could be a mini revival from them, they've now failed to win any of their last three games, and were beaten on Saturday.
It was a disappointing defeat too, they lost 3-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers, in an all-round very poor performance. The team will want to bounce back, and although this game is away from home, the fact they're playing a side who are struggling and low on confidence should work out as a positive for Stoke.
Match PredictionI have a lot of worries about QPR, and I think ultimately they are going to get relegated this season. Stoke have been off the pace recently, but I am going to take them to win this game on Tuesday night, against a very poor and under pressure QPR team.
