The Championship is back on Friday, with teams playing the first of two games this weekend, a busy jump back in as we head into the final weeks of the season. This game should be a good one, effecting both ends of the table, as Hull, who are chasing the playoffs, take on Stoke, who are fighting against relegation.
Hull City Form GuideHull have been either just inside or just outside of the playoff positions for most of the season. They've generally been going well, but will perhaps look at the period just before the international break as one where they let things slip. They come back to play with nine games to go, one in hand on many around them.
They've not lost recently, but do come here on the back of four draws, and at this time of the season, I'm not sure draws are the best thing for them. Three wins before that does mean they are seven unbeaten, which sounds even better, and in their last game, they held promotion chasing Leicester to a 2-2 tie at home.
Stoke City Form GuideIs Steven Schumacher slowly beginning to get his Stoke team moving in the right direction? It looks like it, but I still think they're in trouble. With 41 points they are just two ahead of Huddersfield and three ahead of Sheffield Wednesday, both of them in the relegation zone, it's that tight.
They've won two and lost two of their last four games, with an away win at Preston and a home win over Middlesbrough. They've lost to good sides, Leeds and Norwich, so it's not a complete disaster by any means at all, though with others around them playing fairly well, more is needed.
Match PredictionA big game for both, and a tough one to call. I am going to side with Hull to win this, they've not been at their best recently, but the price on offer is too good to turn down. A good side on their day, it's three points for Hull here.
