Both Blackburn and Stoke are on poor runs of form, and that's led to both of them being dragged very close to the relegation zone. They'll want to keep clear of that, and in a massive game at the bottom, they go head to head on Saturday, with a big three points on offer for which ever team can land the win here.
Blackburn Form GuideBlackburn have moved on from manager Jon Dahl Tomasson and it comes as no surprise after what has been a torrid run for them in recent weeks. They're in the relegation battle, only five points clear of the bottom three, and to make matters worse, they have not won any of their last eight league games, with six defeats and just two draws in that period.
Their most recent loss was a big one, because it came at home and it came against the side in the bottom three that is closest to them, QPR. Blackburn lost that 2-1, and could only draw 1-1 at home to Huddersfield before that, another team involved in the relegation battle at the bottom.
Stoke City Form GuideWhile Blackburn find themselves in a tough position, Stoke are in a worse one, a point behind Blackburn, they've also played a game more, and are in 20th, just two places outside of the bottom three. There are four points separating Stoke and QPR, so nothing can change this week, but it may not be far off.
Steven Schumacher is in charge at Stoke now, and there have been small signs of improvement, but they do come here on the back of three league losses in a row. Last weekend, they were beaten heavily 5-0 at home by leaders Leicester, before that, they lost 3-1 at Sunderland and 2-1 at home to Birmingham.
Match PredictionA big game at the bottom, two teams in trouble, and in bad spells. I'm taking a chance here, and backing Stoke for the win. This is the easiest game they've had in a while, and without a manager, Blackburn could be even more vulnerable, so I'll take the away side to win here.
