The Premier League returns this weekend with a full slate of fixtures as we prepare to enter the month of March. There’s a lot of excitement and tension in the air at both ends of the table and with so much on the line, there are plenty of reasons to feel hyped about what’s ahead. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Sheffield United and Arsenal.
Sheffield United Form GuideSheffield United fans know that they are the favourites for the drop and in a lot of ways, it feels like they don’t have much to lose because of that. Chris Wilder will do everything in his power to keep them in the top flight but they need a big shift in momentum in the next couple of months. Whether or not they can make that change, though, remains to be seen.
When United look back at this season, they’ll probably be pretty upset that they didn’t leave Molineux with any points. They went 1-0 down but Wolves certainly backed off, and the Blades weren’t able to get back on level terms, ultimately losing in a narrow defeat.
Arsenal Form GuideWhile Arsenal are certainly still considered one of the favourites for the title, recent form suggests they aren’t ahead of Manchester City or Liverpool right now. Mikel Arteta knows where the weak spots are in his side and hopefully, he’s made the most of the time off they’ve had. Now, it’s a case of seeing how the Gunners can respond on the pitch in the weeks ahead.
Arsenal looked really, really solid from beginning to end against Newcastle in what proved to be a game that was far more one-sided than many expected. They hit four goals past the Magpies, eventually making their way through to a 4-1 triumph at the Emirates.
Match PredictionSheffield United may well put up a bit of a fight, but it’s far more likely - based on recent evidence - that they will collapse in on themselves. There’s no guarantee behind that, of course, but if we had to put our money on something, we’re going to shoot for an Arsenal win.
