We’re getting down to the nitty gritty in the UEFA Champions League as we approach the final matchday for this year’s competition. All 32 clubs involved know what is at stake over the course of the next 90 minutes, with some being in control of their own destiny and others needing a favour. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between Lens and Sevilla.

That’s been the case this season and although their fans may be forgiving, it has to be frustrating for them to know that they continue to have this barrier that they can’t quite overcome.
After consecutive draws to Lens and PSV in their opening two games, Sevilla have never really been the same. They were beaten by Arsenal home and away, and then against PSV, they gave up a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 in injury time to leave their qualification hopes in tatters.
Match PredictionIt feels as if the life has somewhat gone out of Sevilla, whereas Lens still have something to fight for. Our instinct says that they’ll win the game but we do think they’re going to be quite cautious about it, which is why our official prediction is under 2.5 goals scored.
