Roma have been a revelation since they moved on from Jose Mourinho, and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. This Sunday they host Sassuolo, who are right in the relegation dog fight, so this is a big game at both ends of the Serie A table, with both teams looking for three vital points.
Roma Form GuideRoma begin the weekend in 5th position, they are six points off Bologna in 4th position, and I think they're going to push hard to get that, though they will have to be pretty much perfect between now and the end of the season to do it. They come here on a run of four games unbeaten, with one draw and three wins.
The draw came in their last game, a 2-2 tie away at Fiorentina, while the three wins came against Monza, Torino and Frosinone. In the same period, they've played Brighton in the Europa League, and won the game over two legs, winning at home and losing narrowly in the away game.
Sassuolo Form GuideSassuolo gave themselves a good chance last weekend, a win when they needed it the most. They begin the weekend with 23 points, that leaves them two points off safety and it's very tight at the bottom, every point is going to count.
The win was a 1-0 success over Frosinone, a team that are directly above them in the table, so it was a real six pointer and Sassuoo should have received a big confidence boost from it. Before that though, they lost four in a row, and one of those was a massive 6-1 defeat against Napoli, which will no doubt have hurt their confidence. Other sides that have beaten Sassuolo recently are Verona, Empoli and Atalanta.
Match PredictionA big game at both ends of the table, and it's Roma who I fancy to win this one. They're going really well in the league, pushing hard for 4th position, and I think they get three points here to help their cause. Sassuolo won last weekend, but have generally been poor and I think they're beaten here.
