We have a full list of games from the Championship during midweek, with six on Tuesday night and six a day later on Wednesday. This game, where Hull City will host Rotherham United, is one of the six to be played on Tuesday, and both sides need the three points here, although they need them for very different reasons.
Hull City Form GuideJust on the edge of the playoffs, my dark horses for success this season, Hull, are going along nicely in the Championship. I think they've still got more to do if they want to really challenge for the playoffs, but there's the potential for them to improve the squad in January, and then they become even more interesting to follow.
In their last five, Hull have won three, lost one and drawn one, they've been in very good form and that's left them just one point off the playoffs. They come here on the back of a draw, with a game that ended 2-2 away at Swansea on Saturday afternoon.
Rotherham Form GuideThis season was always going to be a struggle for Rotherham and the fact they are in the relegation zone sums up what we've seen from them so far. They are four points off safety in 22nd, they have been doing ok at home, as we saw on Friday night when they took a point from a game against Leeds, but away from home they have been really poor.
In their most recent two away games, they have been beaten 5-0 by mid table Watford and 2-0 by Sheffield Wednesday, the team who are at the bottom of the league, and that's the only game Wednesday have won all season. Staying up on home form alone is highly unlikely, so they need to find something on the road.
Match PredictionI like Hull a lot, and given they are at home here, I think they'll have way too much quality for Rotherham, who are struggling on the road. This Tuesday, it's Hull for me in this one, and a comfortable win would not be a surprise to me.
