We may only be in July, but it’s time to get ready for the return of the UEFA Champions League. Europe’s biggest and best club competition is already underway with clubs across the continent working hard to qualify for the group stage. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun second leg
clash between Qarabag and Rakow Czestochowa.

Qarabag have really impressed across the last couple of years in their European ventures. They’re starting to really click, and it’s not surprising given that they’re clearly the best club in Azerbaijan right now - a nation that has been making steady footballing improvements as time has progressed. At this stage, it’s a case of them doing all they can to live up to the hype on a consistent basis.
Lincoln Red Imps were first up for Qarabag in the last round and over the course of two legs, Qarabag handled them 6-1 on aggregate. When put against Rakow, though, they were stunned away from home as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat.
Rakow Form Guide
After being viewed as little more than the bridesmaid for so many years, Rakow Czestochowa finally stood up and made their presence known by capturing the Ekstraklasa championship last season. Now, of course, it’s all about solidifying themselves as the very best. One way in which they could do that is by backing up their domestic joy with some excitement across the continent.
Across their last four games, Rakow have been on fire. They tore through Flora Tallinn in the last round, won their opening league game of the season 3-0, and then stood their ground to edge past Qarabag 3-2 in the first leg.
Match Prediction
Rakow will have to defend for their lives in this game given what they were able to pull off last week, but it still might not be enough given the desperation that the hosts have to succeed in Europe. We’re going to back a Qarabag win, but we aren’t so sure how it’s going to unfold in extra time.
