Poland vs Estonia Prediction (21.03.2024)

We’ve arrived at the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying playoffs as twelve nations attempt to make their way through to the big tournament this summer. These teams have put in a great deal of effort in order to get to this stage and with just two games separating them and glory, they’ll do everything in their power to get across the finish line. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Poland and Estonia.

For years now, it’s felt as if the Poland national team has been going through a golden generation and a half - or, at least, that’s what we’ve been told. Despite that, they’ve never really been able to live up to their potential on the world stage. The Poles are one of the most interesting countries to watch when firing on all cylinders, but inconsistency is a big issue for them.

In terms of their group campaign, Poland will be left feeling slightly disappointed. They finished 3rd out of five countries in Group E, picking up 11 points from their eight games with three wins, two draws and three losses.

Estonia serve as one of Europe’s big ‘underdog’ nations, as they’ve never qualified for a major tournament. Still, that doesn’t mean they haven’t had their moments in qualifying, and it certainly doesn’t mean they can’t have some joy in the future. They are an exciting, unpredictable team to watch when they want to be, and it’s just a case of finding a system that keeps them consistent.

In terms of their group campaign, Estonia will be left feeling pretty disappointed. They finished 5th out of five countries in Group F, picking up one points from their eight games with no wins, one draw and seven losses.

Estonia will feel honoured to have made it to this point and in a tie like this one, we don’t expect them to be the favourites by any stretch of the imagination. We think they’ll put in a decent showing but will ultimately fall short, which is why we’re going to back a Poland win.
