The Premier League is back in our lives once again following the last two-week international break of the year. Over the course of the next month and a half, football fans are preparing for a barrage of fixtures coming our way from English football’s top flight as the Christmas period awaits. Today, we’ll be taking a look at a fun clash between Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.Nottingham Forest Form Guide
Nottingham Forest did a good job of throwing money against the wall to see what sticks in their first season back in the Premier League. This time around, they’ve been slightly more conservative, but there’s still a lot of unpredictability in their game. As we look ahead to the rest of the campaign, it’s hard to tell if they’re going to go up or down in this ultra competitive division.
Forest drew three games in a row against Brentford, Crystal Palace and Luton before that run was broken by a 3-0 loss at the hands of Liverpool. They rebounded with a stunning 2-0 win over Aston Villa, before a five-goal thriller with West Ham ended in a 3-2 loss.Brighton Form Guide
While it must be said that Brighton have achieved some incredible things across the last twelve months, it’s also important to manage expectations from time to time. This is their first season managing both domestic football and Europe in unison with one another, and although they could end up smashing it out of the park, there’s definitely still room for growth.
After losing to Manchester City, Brighton’s only victories have come home and away against Ajax. Alongside that, they’ve had three disappointing draws against Fulham, Everton and, most recently, Sheffield United.Match Prediction
Forest are going to cause the Seagulls some problems, in our view, especially down the stretch as they (likely) attempt to battle back from behind. Despite that, we’re going to go for a Brighton win, largely because we expect them to come back from the international break with a fresh mentality and fresh legs.
