We've got six out of 12 Championship games in midweek taking place on Tuesday night. One of those features two former Premier League clubs, with Watford hosting Norwich. Both teams are just below the mid table area right now in the Championship, with Norwich two points ahead of Watford.
Watford Form GuideI wasn't sure what to expect from Watford at the start of the season, right now I think we are seeing the true Watford, a side who can challenge in the middle of the table, but probably no higher if they're being honest. They've only won five of 17 games, but have six draws alongside those wins, to boost their points total up to 21.
Watford come here on the back of a loss at the weekend, losing 2-0 away a Leicester, the leaders of the Championship. To make things worse for them, they received a red card in that game. That ended an unbeaten run, before that loss they went six games unbeaten, recording three wins and three draws in that period.
Norwich Form GuideWhile I didn't know what to expect from Watford, I fancied Norwich for the top half of the table, although will admit there was plenty about them that I wasn't too sure about. Seven wins from 17 games, coupled with two draws, and Norwich have 23 points on the board, in the middle of the table and five points off the playoffs right now.
A poor run where they lost four games in a row came to an end just before the international break. Norwich win 3-2 away at Cardiff, a side who are going well and close to the playoffs. Then they backed that up on their return from the break, winning 1-0 at home to struggling QPR on Saturday.
Match PredictionI don't think there's much between these teams, but with two wins in a row coming into this, I think there's good value in following Norwich here. I am going to back them on the double chance market, covering a Norwich win or the draw in this game.
