The Serie A weekend kicks off on Friday night, with one game on the schedule, a clash between Napoli and Torino. The home side have been poor, but may have clicked a little recently, improving and winning, while they take on Torino, who are in the middle of the table and going along fairly well.
Napoli Form GuideI'm not even going to try and work out what has happened with Napoli this season, and why they've dropped off so much after winning the Serie A title season. But what I do know is that they've played better recently, come here on the back of two wins, and could be finally about to turn things around and end well.
Not only are the here on the back of two wins, but they drew two before that, so it's four unbeaten for them. The two wins have been 2-1 at home to Juventus last weekend, and before that, a 6-1 away win against struggling Sassuolo. Those have been two of their better performances this season.
Torino Form GuideTorino begin the weekend in 10th position, right in the middle of the table, and probably with very little to play for other than pride. They're six points off Napoli in 7th, and have only 11 games left to try cut that back, a win here would of course help them out a lot.
But they've won just one of their last five games, and are three without a win coming here. The most recent of those was a 0-0 draw at home to Fiorentina last weekend. Before that, they lost 3-2 away at Roma and 2-0 at home to Lazio, the win they had was a 2-0 success against Lecce, who are towards the bottom of the table.
Match PredictionGiven how much better Napoli have looked over the last two games, I think they are really good value to win this one. At home, with plenty to play for, I think they can get the better of a Torino side that don't have too much to play for, and look as though they are cruising towards the end of the season.
