Serie A returns on Saturday, we've got five games taking place across the day, and in the middle of the day, we have this one. Torino and Monza are side by side in the league, in 10th and 11th positions, with just one point separating them, and they go head to head here.
Torino Form GuideIn 11th, with 41 points, the story for Torino is similar to that for Monza. They've not really got anything to play for, nine games to go, and their best realistic case would be a top half finish, while below them, there's very little to worry about in terms of teams overtaking them.
Torino are three games unbeaten as we come here, they won the most recent of those, and then drew the other two before that. Their win was a solid 2-0 away victory against Udinese, a team fighting in the relegation zone. Draws before that were 1-1 away at Napoli and 0-0 at home to Fiorentina, so two pretty solid points to pick up.
Monza Form GuideMonza are directly above Torino, but have a similar outlook, can push for the top half, but don't have too many worries about the teams in behind them. They are playing really well at the minute, perhaps the best they have done all season, and from their last eight games, they have been beaten just once, and that was a loss to Roma, who are pushing for the top four.
Not only that, but they have won their last two, the most recent of those being a 1-0 home success against struggling Cagliari. Before that, Monza won 3-2 away from home against Genoa. It's been a good run, they've beaten AC Milan during it, and Monza could be a side that really holds solid claims of a nice top half finish if they keep going.
Match PredictionI think there's good value in Monza avoiding defeat here. They're in good form, lost just one of their last eight, and at the prices, this is the bet I like, Monza on the double chance market, covering them to win or draw the game.
