Bottom club Salernitana are in action on Saturday afternoon in Serie A this weekend, and it's getting to the stage where they need to find a win from somewhere, because the gap between them and safety keeps getting tougher to close. They are at home on Saturday, with mid table Monza the visitors.

They've won just twice in 25 league games, and scored just 20 goals, when you have those two stats in your favour, it seems inevitable that relegation is coming.
Seven points off safety with 13 games to go, it's not impossible for them, but the turn needs to happen now. They've lost their last two games heading into this one, a 4-0 loss away at league leaders Inter Milan last weekend and before that, a 3-1 home defeat to fellow relegation battlers Empoli, a tough defeat to take for them no doubt.
Monza Form GuideMonza are in the middle of the Serie A table, well clear of the troubles at the bottom, and probably too far away from the race for Europe, so I see them as a team that will cruise to the end of the season, and be happy with where they are. They've gone four unbeaten now, two wins and two draws in those games, to keep momentum up.
And last weekend's win was certainly one to really boost that momentum, as they won 4-2 at home to third placed AC Milan in a big victory. Before that, two 0-0 draws, against Verona and Udinese, with a win over Sassuolo rounding off their last four games, which on the whole have been very good.
Match PredictionThis is another big game for Salernitana and a chance to start a run, but I don't think they're going to do it. I am backing Monza here, in good form, picking up points, and I think they take three from this game.
