The Championship league leaders Leicester City seemingly have one step in the Premier League for next season, but the job isn't quite done yet. On Saturday afternoon they are at home looking for another three points, and they welcome Middlesbrough to the King Power Stadium.
Leicester City Form GuideLeicester have been incredible this season. The quality at the top of the league has been as good as we've seen for years, and despite that, Leicester still have set records and have a big lead. They come into the weekend with a 12 point lead at the top, though with Southampton and Leeds playing before them, it may be less by the time this game kicks off.
Leicester have won their last four league games in a row, a run that has seen them continue to dominate. They come here on the back of a routine win on Tuesday night, beating the struggling Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at home. Other wins have come over Watford, Stoke and Swansea, they also won in the FA Cup before that, so it's five in a row in all competitions.
Middlesbrough Form GuideI've been disappointed with Middlesbrough all season, but especially in recent weeks. It felt like this was their chance to make a playoff move, but they've failed to win any of their last four games, and are now seven points off the playoffs, which seems like it may be a gap too big for them to close from here.
Not only that, but they've lost their last two games over the past seven days. Most recently, Boro lost 2-1 at Preston on Wednesday and before that, they lost 2-1 at home to Bristol City, both will go down as quite disappointing results, against sides close to them in the standings.
Match PredictionLeicester are going great at the moment, and I think they'll continue that here. They're a very good side, exceptional at times, and think they've got the beating of Middlesbrough, who are in a little slump at the moment.
