We’re into the final furlong now as we approach the last few games of the Ligue 1 season. French football has really come into its own since last August with a campaign full of exciting twists and turns at both ends of the table. Now, it’s all a case of seeing who can hold their nerve. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an interesting clash between Clermont Foot and Lyon.

Lyon Form GuideAfter a start to the season that gave most of their fanbase a massive panic attack, Lyon have managed to steady the ship. Of course, they’re still a long way away from their former glories, but you could argue that isn’t really the point right now. The whole point is to get back to a stage where the future looks bright, and they’re getting closer and closer to that every single day.
Lille and Lyon, to put it lightly, put on an absolute classic at the start of the week. They just went blow for blow in a desperate push to claim three points and the end result of that was a 4-3 win for Lyon, that leaves both teams with a lot to think about ahead of a quick turnaround.
Match PredictionA few months back, this would’ve been seen as quite a competitive affair - but these two teams are trending in very different directions right now and that isn’t controversial to say. In our view, this is going to be a comprehensive victory for Lyon when the dust settles.
