Manchester City vs Luton Prediction (13.04.2024)

We are edging closer and closer to the end of the Premier League season and things are really starting to heat up at both ends of the table. There are so many things still up in the air and between now and the end of May, we expect to see a whole lot of surprises. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a really intriguing encounter between Manchester City and Luton Town.

Manchester City are once again considered to be the clear favourites to win the Premier League title, and it’s not hard to see why. Pep Guardiola has built an absolute juggernaut of a squad and as we look ahead to the future, you’d have to imagine that the only big question mark is surrounding the punishment they could receive for their financial charges off the pitch.

Across their last six games, City have spread themselves between victories and draws. They’ve been held by Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool, and they’ve also picked up wins over Aston Villa, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

Luton Town fans are on cloud nine right now as they continue to enjoy life in the Premier League. When you put that alongside their success in the FA Cup, we’d say this is shaping up to be a pretty fun season for the Hatters. The priority, of course, is staying in the top flight, and we’d say they are looking good in that quest as we head into the final stretch of the season.

Luton picked up a massive 2-1 win over Bournemouth last weekend that served as a critical step in the right direction for the Hatters in their survival push. They also picked up a point in draws with Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, running alongside losses to Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth.

The best team in the league going up against the ultimate underdogs? This one promises to be entertaining, if nothing else. We’re pretty excifted to see what Luton can do against the champions but with that being said, we can’t predict anything other than a Manchester City win.
