Leyton Orient host Lincoln in what is the only League One match of this midweek period, and it's a game that both sides would love to take the points from. Leyton Orient started well, but have taken a slide down the table in recent weeks, while Lincoln also haven't been great, but are hoping that installing a new manager will fix some of their problems.
Leyton Orient Form GuideA few games into the season and Leyton Orient were up in the playoff spots. We've seen them drop down to the middle of the table now, and I think that's just an adjustment from them playing above expectations, and now they are where they were expected, rather than them underperforming and being below expectations.
They come here on a slow run though, they've not won in their last four league games, but it hasn't been a complete disaster, as three of those games have been draws. Postponed last weekend due to the international break, it was defeat against high flying Oxford in their game before, losing 3-2, while before that, they had draws against Burton, Northampton and Barnsley.
Lincoln Form GuideThe Michael Skubala era at Lincoln got off to a losing start, with his team losing 1-0 away at Stevenage. I don't think it was too bad on the whole, but when you look at the bigger picture, this is a team currently regrouping and having to think about what they do and where they go next, any improvements under Skubala will take time to come.
Before the loss to Stevenage, Lincoln drew at home to Port Vale, and lost against League Two opposition in both the EFL Trophy and the FA Cup, so there is plenty of work for Skubala to do here, but there's also expectations on the team.
Match PredictionI think Lincoln will get better, but that will take time. Leyton Orient on the other hand, are doing better than recent results would suggest, and this is an ideal game for them to get a league win on the board again. I am going with the home team here to take all three points.
