Of course, there’s a whole lot more to the story than that, with the Hammers also gearing up for the Conference League final. If they’re able to take home a piece of European silverware, it’ll serve as a real vindication of what has been a tough campaign.
Since beating Manchester United on May 7th, West Ham have only lost one game - a 2-0 defeat to Brentford. Aside from that they were able to beat AZ Alkmaar across two legs in their European semi-final, before also managing to defeat Leeds 3-1 at home.
