Serie A is back this weekend, and we have four games taking place on Sunday as part of the weekend schedule. The first game to kick off is a relegation battle, with Sassuolo, currently inside the bottom three, hosting Lecce, a side who have moved nicely away from the bottom three in recent weeks.
Sassuolo Form GuideSassuolo have been trying, and they've been putting points on the board. But these have come from draws and you wonder whether the lack of an ability to win games is going to cost them in the long run. They are 19th in Serie A, with 26 points and as we start the weekend, that means they are two points away from safety.
They've lost just one of their last five, but also only won one of their last five, and come here on the back of three draws in a row. Last weekend, they drew 3-3 at home to AC Milan, and before that, drew 2-2 with Salernitana and 1-1 with Udinese. They are keeping themselves in the race, one win could turn it all around.
Lecce Form GuideWith 32 points, Lecce are five clear with six games to play in the relegation battle and I think they are going to be fine. Another win could be enough, but I think they will do more than that over the next few games, as they continue to go well and pick up points. They've won two and drawn one of their last four games, so seven points from those.
They are here on the back of a 1-0 win over Empoli, a big relegation result. A win over Salernitana and a draw against Roma have also been good, while AC Milan are the team they've lost to, and there is no shame in that, given how good they are playing.
Match PredictionA big game at the bottom. Sassuolo need the points more, but I am going to go with Lecce to get something here, they arrive in really good form and are not too far away from safety now. I will back Lecce on the double chance market, covering them to win the game or it to end in a draw.
