Keflavik vs FH hafnarfjordur Prediction (31.07.2023)

We have two games on Monday from the Urvalsdeild and one of them features the bottom club Keflavik as they take on a side who come here on a losing run, Hafnarfjordur, as they aim to get back to winning ways.

It's been a struggle for Keflavik this season, and they still only have one league win to their name. It's been 16 games now and while seven draws have allowed them to keep in touch with the teams above them, they are now at the stage where wins are really needed if they want to climb off the bottom.

Four points behind Fram, the team directly above them, the team needs to find a way to get three points on the board. They come here on the back of a high scoring defeat last weekend as they were beaten 4-3 by KA Akureyri, but they may see a positive in scoring three. Goals have not been easy to come by, they have just 15 in 16 games, so despite three last weekend, are still averaging less than a goal per game.

A decent start to the season for Hafnarfjordur has been tainted recently and the team comes here on the back of three losses in a row. Still in mid table, but at one point they were fourth, and they would love to get back up there, but need to find a win to stop the rot.

Last weekend, they were beaten 4-2 by Fylkir, while before that they also suffered losses against KR Reykjavik and Stjarnan, with the latter named beating Hafnarflordur 5-0 in what was a big surprise at the time. However, this team does still posses plenty of quality and it won't take much for them to get back on track.

A game where both teams will fancy their chances of getting three points, and I am siding with the away team Hafnarfjordur to take them. They are in a rut at the moment, but playing the team who are bottom of the league gives them the perfect chance to bounce back, one I think they will take.
