It's week two in Italy with the second round of games from Serie A and after impressing many people last weekend, Juventus are back in action. They are at home on Sunday, the first game of the day, and they host Bologna who suffered defeat last weekend.
Juventus Form GuideAway from home, Juventus were outstanding last weekend, winning 3-0 against Udinese. Fancied for the top four as a minimum, they certainly hit the ground running, but unless that's followed up here with another win, it doesn't really mean too much at this stage.
Despite their troubles off the field last season, which involved points deductions being added and taken away, Juventus did manage to focus well at home, and held a very good home record. If they are to challenge for the title this season, which does look a step too far, then they will have to be almost perfect at home.
Bologna Form GuideWhile Juventus were out there impressing us last weekend, Bologna were doing the opposite. They played at home, and were beaten by a good AC Milan side 2-0, to get off to a disappointing start. The worry won't be the loss, but the fact they never really got close to Milan, and struggled to compete throughout.
Expectations for Bologna are not huge, and it has to be said that playing AC Milan and then Juventus in the first two games, is as tough as anyone has it at the start this season. But they do need to get involved more and compete, even if they cannot win the game overall, fans will want a better performance.
Match PredictionGiven what these two teams showed last weekend, I have to go with Juventus here. They really impressed away from home, and will be looking to do the same here in front of their home fans this time. I like them a lot, and it's another three points for them on Sunday.
