The second day of action in Serie A this weekend comes on Monday, where we have five games taking place. The fifth and final game of the day is this one, where league leaders Inter Milan welcome relegation threatened Empoli to the San Siro, both teams looking to bag the points for their respective goals.

They begin the weekend 14 points clear, and with nine games to go, they are edging closer to lifting the league title, and it would be no surprise if that was to happen in the next two or three weeks.
However, they do have to come here on the back of a game they didn't win, they picked up a draw before the international break 1-1 at home to Napoli. Away from the league, before that, they lost on penalties to Atletico Madrid, to be knocked out of the Champions League.
Empoli Form GuideEmpoli worked really hard to get into a decent position in the relegation battle, and they gave me hope that things would work out for them. But they lost three in a row before the international break, and that's put them right back in the mix, just one point above the relegation zone.
All of those three games resulted in 1-0 defeats, so they've also not scored for three games. Bologna, AC Milan and Cagliari are the three teams to have beaten them, and if this run does continue, Empoli could find themselves quickly back in the relegation zone.
Match PredictionOn the back of a draw, Inter Milan will want to quickly return to winning ways, and I think they'll do that. I am going to back them here to win on the Asian handicap -1.5 line, which means for the bet to win they need to win by two goals or more, something I think they will do.
