Inter Milan took a huge step forward in their bid for the Serie A title last weekend, with a win over second placed Juventus, putting them firmly in charge of the race. They've got another tough match this weekend, as the resurgent Roma are their hosts, in what looks set to be one of the games of the weekend from the Italian top flight.
Roma Form GuideSince moving on from Jose Mourinho, we've seen a different side to Roma. They weren't doing too badly, but have taken their form to a new level recently, and come here on the back of three league wins in a row. That's taken them to 5th as we start the weekend, just one point outside the top four, as they aim to get Champions League football next season.
The most recent of those was a big win on Monday night, as Roma won 4-0 at home to Cagliari. Before that, they recorded a 2-1 win away at Salernitana and a 2-1 home win at home to Verona. The fixtures have fell kind, all those three teams are in a relegation fight, but it's still impressive from Roma, who are seemingly heading in the right direction now.
Inter Milan Form GuideThere's no doubting last weekend was huge for Inter Milan and their bid to win the title this season. In Saudi Arabia for the Coppa Italia just a couple of weeks ago, they were overtaken at the top. Since then, they've come back and won twice, beating Juventus and seeing Juventus draw their other game. From behind, they now have a four point lead at the top and a game in hand on the two sides below them.
The 1-0 success at home to Juventus came on the back of a 1-0 win at home to Fiorentina, just a few days after they flew back into Italy, so it's been good and they've definitely hit the ground running with those two wins.
Match PredictionInter Milan took a big step towards the title last weekend, and with the momentum from that behind them, I am backing them to clear another tough task this weekend. Roma are much better, on the up, and I respect that, but it's Inter Milan for me, to send out another strong message to their title rivals.
