Eintracht Frankfurt vs Hertha Berlin Prediction (04.02.2023)

On Saturday afternoon, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin clash at the Deutsche Bank Park as the two teams look for Bundesliga points at opposite ends of the table.

The Eagles are six games unbeaten in the Bundesliga, having picked up three wins and three draws in their previous six matches in the German top flight. A 1-1 draw at reigning champions Bayern Munich last time out means that Olivier Glasner’s team has now drawn three of their previous four league matches.

The recent draws have seen Frankfurt slip to sixth place in the table, although they are still just two points adrift of fourth-place Dortmund in the fight for a Champions League spot.

The Eagles' recent home form has been strong, as they have won four of their previous five league games on home soil while scoring at least two goals in each victory.

The visitors from the capital head to Frankfurt on a woeful recent run of form, which has seen them lose six of their last seven matches in the Bundesliga. Last time out, Hertha suffered a 2-0 derby day defeat against Union. The game saw Hertha concede at least two goals for the fifth time in six league matches.

Their recent poor league form has meant that Hertha has slipped to 17th place in the Bundesliga table. However, the team from the German capital are still only two points from safety, so all is not lost for Hertha just yet.

If they are to survive, then they will need to start picking up points on their travels, as they have failed to win in five away games in the Bundesliga, having also suffered four straight away defeats.

Eintracht Frankfurt looks set to be without Marcel Wenig and Eric Ebimbe due to injuries. Hertha Berlin will be without Chidera Ejuke and Kelian Nsona through injuries. Agustin Rogel and Stevan Jovetic are also fitness doubts. Jonjoe Kenny should return after injury.

Eintracht Frankfurt has been in decent form of late, while Hertha has been woeful in recent weeks. I am backing a comfortable home win.
