The UEFA Champions League returns to our lives once again this week as we enter the second half of the group stage. At this point, all 32 clubs are well aware of what their objectives are as they prepare for the final three-game stretch. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what is bound to be an electric clash between Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

Bayern beat Manchester United 4-3 in their opening group game, but it perhaps should’ve been more based on how the game played out. They went on to beat Cophenagen 2-1, and then against Galatasaray, they pulled away late in the game in a 3-1 win.
Galatasaray Form GuideFollowing on from a disastrous 2021/22 campaign, Galatasaray knew they had to come back fighting - and that’s precisely what they did. They are now once again the reigning champions of Turkish football and they have their eyes firmly set on a strong run in Europe. Of course, whether or not it comes off will largely depend on if their star players can really start firing consistently.
Gala had to work incredibly hard to earn a point at home to Copenhagen with two late goals doing the job in a 2-2 draw. They proceeded to defeat Manchester United 3-2 in an impressive display before falling to an unfortunate 3-1 loss against Bayern Munich.
Match PredictionIf there’s one thing we’re expecting in this game, it’s that we’ll see some explosive play in the final third from both teams. Their last encounter was incredibly competitive for long spells and we should anticipate the same again here, with our formal prediction being over 2.5 goals scored.
