We have two games taking place in the Urvalsdeild on Thursday evening and one of those features the team at the top of the table, Vikingur, as they travel to play against Fylkir.
Fylkir Form GuideFylkir are down towards the bottom of the standings, and so far, it's been been a disaster, but at the same time, it's certainly not been good enough. They have just three wins from their 12 games, alongside three draws and six defeats. That's given them 12 points, which only puts them four points away from the bottom of the table.
In their most recent game, Fylkir picked up a point from a 1-1 draw with Keflavik, the team currently at the bottom. Before that, they went up against Akureyri, one of the better teams in the league, currently in the top half, and suffered defeat there, losing 2-1.
Vikingur Form GuideVikingur are at the top of the Urvalsdeild and going well so far this season. From 13 games, they have 11 wins, alongside one win and one draw, in what has been an excellent start to the campaign. Two games ago, they lost and drew games in the space of a few days, but since then, they have got over things and bounced back.
The two games they didn't win were against the second and third teams in the league, and they've bounced back in good style after that. A 3-1 win over Fram and a 2-0 victory over Stjarnan have put them back on course, two sides in the bottom half, and in this game, they'll look to make it three in a row.
Match PredictionA game affecting both ends of the table, but I have to side with Vikingur after the great start they have made this season. They've had a small dip, but that was against two good sides, and they've bounced back from it well, I'm backing them to make it three wins in a row here.
