The Premier League returns for another weekend full of stacked top flight action as we gear up for the final few months of the campaign. It’s pretty clear at this point what everyone is aiming for from top to bottom, but there are still plenty of twists and turns awaiting us on that journey. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun encounter between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham.
Wolves Form GuideWolverhampton Wanderers are looking really good right now and Gary O’Neil deserves a lot of plaudits for what he’s been able to do at the club. When he came in, they were seen as one of the favourites to go down - but at this point, their focus is on the top half as opposed to the bottom three. With a decent cup run to go alongside that, the kings of the Black Country are sitting pretty.
For whatever reason, Wolves just weren’t really at the races in their visit to take on Newcastle last weekend. The Magpies just outplayed them in every department, with Livramento’s late goal ensuring the scoreline was a convincing 3-0 win for Howe’s men.
Fulham Form GuideBetween fan protests and some questionable results in the league, the vibe isn’t particularly great at Fulham right now. The Cottagers certainly aren’t one of the favourites to go down, but we aren’t at the point where they can be ruled out either. There are question marks surrounding the ownership and if that doesn’t change soon, they could quickly begin to snowball.
Fulham did well to race into a 2-0 lead at home to Brighton last weekend and from there, they did a really solid job of controlling the game. Then, in injury time, Adama Traore added a third as the Cottagers pulled further away from the relegation zone.
Match PredictionWe can see this game going either way but if we had to lean in one direction, it would be in favour of Wolves - given how they tend to play when they’re at their best. With that being said, we’re going with a prediction we’re more confident in, which is under 2.5 goals scored.
