Fulham - Wolves Tip 27-11-2023

The Premier League is back in our lives once again following the last two-week international break of the year. Over the course of the next month and a half, football fans are preparing for a barrage of fixtures coming our way from English football’s top flight as the Christmas period awaits. Today, we’ll be taking a look at a fun clash between Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fulham Football Club no longer wants to be identified as a yo-yo team and after managing to stay up last season, they’re doing well to get rid of that title. Of course, we all know about the stress of second season syndrome, and the Cottagers will want to avoid a relegation scrap by any means necessary. For now, they aren’t in too much peril, but it’s a fine line.

After a nice 3-1 win over Sheffield United, inconsistency kicked in for Fulham during a really tough spell of fixtures. They lost to Tottenham before a 1-1 draw with Brighton, just days before they beat Ipswich in the League Cup. Since then, they’ve lost twice in tricky games against Manchester United and Aston Villa.

Following a questionable start, many were wondering whether or not the hiring of Gary O’Neil would prove to be a mistake for Wolves - but as we get ready for the winter run-in, it’s safe to say that he’s won a lot of people over. The club appears to be in good hands once again and although there’s still plenty of work to be done, there is certainly cause for optimism in the Black Country.

Wolves put together a nice four-game unbeaten streak last month that began with a huge 2-1 win over Manchester City. They went on to draw with Aston Villa, beat Bournemouth and draw with Newcastle, before losing 2-1 to Sheffield United. In typical Wolves fashion, though, they bounced back with a shocking 2-1 win over Tottenham.

This looks set to be a really entertaining and technical game between two sides who are more than good enough to make a push for the top half. We think the visitors will dictate possession but the hosts will use their counter attacks well, with the end result being a draw.
