Juventus vs Frosinone Prediction (25.02.2024)

Sunday sees four games in Serie A, and the first of those is a big one, with Juventus playing and under real pressure, their place in the title race and their grip on second spot are both in huge doubt. They are playing at home, and Frosinone are the visitors, a team down in 15th, which puts them above the relegation zone, but checking over their shoulders at the teams below them.

I'm not sure anyone predicted this drop off from Juventus and I certainly didn't. But four games, two losses and two draws, they are nine points off Inter Milan at the top, after going top themselves not too long back. In behind, the pack are catching, we begin this weekend with AC Milan just two points off Juventus in the battle for second.

Both draws for Juventus have been against teams near the bottom, this isn't like they've played four top teams. The most recent was a 2-2 draw at Verona last weekend, with the losses being 1-0 at home to Udinese and 1-0 away to leaders Inter Milan, they've only really had one tough game from the last four, and that was the Inter clash.

After a great start to life in Serie A kicking off the new season, it's been a slow and steady drop down the table for Frosinone, and I have them as being one of the teams who could be relegated this season. Three losses in a row have made life a little tougher for them, they've work to do to turn this situation round, but do have key points on the board from earlier in the season.

They lost 3-0 at home to Roma last weekend, and before that, lost 5-1 at Frosinone and 3-2 at AC Milan. As you can see from that, they're conceding a lot of goals, 11 in three games, and that is a recipe for relegation back to Serie B, if they don't change that.

I've questions over Juventus, but not as many as I do over Frosinone. It may not be pretty, but Juventus need a win and I think they get one here, against a side who I expect to continue their struggles this weekend, and going forward.
