Serie A is back this weekend, and five of the 10 games take place on Sunday. The second to kick off is this one, a game between two really closely matched teams, side by side heading into the weekend, separated by just one point. This looks sure to be close, but can anyone do enough to take all three points?
Frosinone Form GuideFrosinone made a really good start to life in Serie A, way better than what I expected from them. But they've been sliding down the table for a few weeks now, and are moving closer towards the kind of position I expected them to take up this season, rather than performing above expectations.
They've won four and drawn three of their 12 games, which is a solid return. However, they have lost three of their last four games, with a win in the middle of that run. The win was a 2-1 success away at Genoa, while in their most recent game, Frosinone lost 2-1 at home to Empoli, a side struggling near the bottom.
Genoa Form GuideIn 13th position, one below Frosinone, Genoa have made an ok start to the season, but will be looking for better, and they've got hope they can do that because of a much better recent run. They've won four games out of 12 overall, but two o those wins have come in their last three games, when they've upped their performance levels.
The two wins they've recorded recently have both been by a score of 1-0, coming against Verona, which was the last game they played, and Salernitana a few weeks back. They've won in the cup during this spell too, so have won three out of their last four games in all competitions.
Match PredictionA tight game is expected here, I don't think there will be much between the teams, but I'll go with Genoa to avoid defeat. They've taken their performance levels up in the last few weeks, and I think they can continue that here. A bet on the double chance market covers them to win the game, or a draw, and looks good value.
