Empoli vs Frosinone Prediction (05.05.2024)

We've got five games in Serie A on Sunday and this one is a big relegation clash between Empoli and Frosinone. As the table stands going into the weekend games, both teams are currently safe, but they are the two teams ahead of the drop zone, and could easily both be pulled in. Important points are up for grabs, which both sides will want to take home with them.

Empoli have been hit and miss over the past few games, they've won two and lost three of their last five. They're a side that's digging in and crucially, those around them are not winning many at all, even those above, so it's good to see, and if they do need a win to confirm safety near the end of the season, they will have had one recently.

They lost last weekend though, a 2-0 defeat away from home against Atalanta. But a week earlier, they bagged a massive win when they won 1-0 at home to Napoli. They've also won at home to Torino recently too, so they can get wins, and that will be a big thing heading into the final four games.

Frosinone looked like a team that were just going to fade away and then end up getting relegated. But now, all of a sudden, from nowhere, they're beginning to fight. They are now five games unbeaten, the first four of those were draws, and then they won last weekend. That's seven points, and it's taken them out of the relegation zone for now.

They won 3-0 last weekend at home to Salernitana, the side at the bottom of the league. Then draws have come against Torino, Napoli, Bologna and Genoa, all good points, and thanks to this run they are on right now, Frosinone have a chance.

A massive game at the bottom, if either team can win this, then their survival chances are going to improve massively. I am going to back Frosinone here on the double chance market. They've found a way to dig in and get points, I think they will do the same again here, and get something from this game.
