Frosinone vs AC Milan Prediction (03.02.2024)

AC Milan had the chance to close the gap on second placed Juventus last weekend, but failed to make it pay, drawing their game. They are back in action on Saturday, looking to bounce back to winning ways at the first opportunity. They travel away from home, with Frosinone their hosts, a team who had been quickly tumbling down the table but have managed to halt that recently.

It's been a tail of two halves in the season so far for Frosinone, they started really well, playing above expectations and got themselves into a really good league position. But they've struggled with that recently, and dropped alarmingly down the table. However, four points from their last two games has given them a bit of breathing room again.

The point to make straight away though, is those four points have come against teams struggling near the bottom. Last weekend it was a 1-1 away draw at Verona, before that, a 3-1 home win against Cagliari, and to say the level of competition this weekend is a lot higher, would be an understatement, with AC Milan coming to town.

AC Milan had a chance to close the gap between themselves and Juventus at the weekend, but failed, and fell further behind Inter Milan, they are now eight points off the league leader, and have played one game more than Inter. But the positive comes below them, they're 10 clear of Atalanta in fourth, so it would take a huge turnaround for Milan to fall out of the top four this season.

AC Milan drew 2-2 with Bologna at the weekend, ending a run where they had won four league games in a row, and they'll be looking to get straight back on track with that here.

Frosinone may have slowed their troubles recently, but it's been done against some of the worst teams in this division, and I think the move up in quality of opponent here will bring an end to that. AC Milan could only get a draw last weekend, but I think they take all three points here and they are my pick for the win.
