Doncaster vs Forest Green Prediction (23.03.2024)

Doncaster Rovers and Forest Green Rovers take each other on this Saturday, with three points at stake. Both will come here fairly confident, given they've been playing relatively well over the past few games. While Doncaster have moved themselves nicely away from the threat of relegation, Forest Green find themselves inside the bottom two.

On the whole, it has been a pretty poor season for Doncaster Rovers, and I do think they are some way better than their league position would suggest. They begin the weekend in 18th, but have kicked nicely clear from the relegation zone due to a good recent run. Three wins and a draw from their last five, and they are now showing much more like the kind of level I expected from them at the start of the season.

They have won their last two games, with the most recent of those being a 2-1 away success against Swindon Town. Before that, they won 2-0 at home to Crewe, and a 1-1 tie at Bradford takes them into this game with a three game unbeaten run on their backs.

A year ago, Forest Green were on the verge of being relegated from League One, and now they're on the verge of going out of the football league all together. They are in 23rd, so in the relegation zone, but only on goal difference, they are tied on points with Colchester above them, and three points above bottom club Sutton.

They've won two and lost two of their last four games, and are another team playing fairly well at the moment. The two wins have been 2-0 at Bradford and 2-0 at home to Walsall, but they did lost a massive relegation clash last weekend. They lost 1-0 at home to bottom club Sutton, allowing them to close the gap between the two teams.

A big game at the bottom, and I am taking Doncaster to keep up their good form and win this one. They're finally playing something like what I expected from them, and I like them to land another three points here.
