The middle game of five taking place in Serie A on Sunday sees Empoli at home, and their visitors this weekend are Fiorentina. While the away side are in a much better league position overall, it's arguably the home side that have the best recent form as we come into this one.

But now, they look a completely different team, they have 21 points on the board, and that makes them two clear of the relegation zone, thanks to a recent run of four games unbeaten.
They've won two of those and drawn the other two, with the two draws coming in the middle, good points against Juventus and Genoa. The first win was a really good 3-0 home success over Monza and the most recent win was a big 3-1 away win over bottom of the table Salernitana.
Fiorentina Form GuideFiorentina have had a decent season overall, they are 8th in the league, with 37 points and that puts them just one point behind Roma who are in 6th, and the top six would have been their aim at the start of the season. But recent form has been a worry, and we will need to see more from Fiorentina if they are to get up into the top six.
In their last six games, Fiorentina have lost four, won once and drawn once, so it's not been a good run. They suffered a defeat in their last game, losing 2-0 away at Bologna, who are above them in the standings. The one win in that period was a good one, beating Frosinone 5-1, but we've not seen that level anywhere near enough recently.
