Napoli vs Eintracht Frankfurt Prediction (15.03.2023)

Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt will collide on Wednesday in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie.

The sleeping giant of Napoli has finally awoken and not a minute too soon. This club has spent years trying to climb back to the top of world football, and especially Italian football. They may not be there just yet but they’re certainly on their way and their form showcases that. In a couple of months, we could see something incredibly special happen for this fanbase.

Outside of a surprising 1-0 defeat to Lazio, Napoli have been pretty flawless lately. They’ve put together five wins over Cremonese, Sassuolo, Frankfurt, Empoli and Atalanta, and they haven’t conceded a single goal across those triumphs.

After winning the Europa League last season, Eintracht Frankfurt have done a pretty solid job of building on that achievement. They’ve made it into the knockout stage of the Champions League and even though they’re a bit behind the pace on the domestic front, this is a club that has the potential to go from strength to strength in the next few years.

With just one win in their last six, over Werder Bremen, things are looking a bit bleak for Frankfurt. They’ve been beaten by Napoli, Cologne and RB Leipzig, only managing two draws in recent weeks against Wolfsburg and Stuttgart.

While Raspadori is out with an injury, Meret, Min-Jae and Lozano are all fighting to be fit in time for this home clash.

Kolo Muani is currently out through suspension with Lindstrom, Knauff and Ebimbe all being on the shelf through injury.

One thing we’re confident in saying about this tie is that it’s going to be pretty explosive. Frankfurt are the ones who really need to press and raise the tempo of the game, but regardless of the result, our primary prediction is that we’re going to see over 2.5 goals scored.
