Group C at Euro 2024 comes to an end on Tuesday evening, and we've got two games that look very interesting. In this one, Denmark take on Serbia, with the Danes having two points and the Serbians having one, so it's still all to play for both with second and third place, which these two teams will have their eye on.
Denmark Form GuideI don't think Denmark played too well in their draw with Slovenia, their first game at Euro 2024, but they took their form to a much better level in their last game against England. That was also a 1-1 draw, but came against better quality opposition, and was a much better performance visually by the Danes.
Their job now is to build on that, and get a win here, which would guarantee them a place in the next round so they can progress and play knockout football. If there is one big positive they want again here from the England game then it is certainly with the chances they created. They looked a threat, and while only scoring once, had chances to win that that. Of course they need to take them a little better if they can.
Serbia Form GuideTwo games in and one point on the board for Serbia, but they only managed to rescue that at the very end of their last game against Slovenia. They scored in the last minute to get something, and after two games, have never been ahead in the competition, and have scored just once in 180 minutes, something they really need to improve on fast.
I don't think they've played too badly, but do look like a side that is lacking in real quality to get the job done. They've struggled to create a lot of chances, while also looking a little suspect in defence at the same time, I don't think it's bad play, I just think they're lacking in quality.
Match PredictionI am going to side with Denmark to win this game. They've shown far better form than Serbia so far, and took a nice step forward with their performance against England last Thursday. I think a repeat of that would be enough to win this game.
