The Major League Soccer season is beginning to get into a real rhythm as all clubs involved find their feet and start to build some momentum. There are plenty of reasons to believe this could be the best MLS campaign yet, with teams across North America getting better and better. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fascinating encounter between DC United and CF Montreal.

After defeating New England 3-1, DC drew two straight games - 2-2 with Portland and 0-0 with Cincinnati. From there they were beaten 3-1 by Miami, and in their most recent outing, their winless streak continued as they drew 2-2 with St Louis City.
Montreal Form GuideThe city of Montreal flies under the radar when it comes to picking out passionate fanbases. The teams they have behind them are ones built on the shoulders of giants, and the same goes for CF Montreal. They aren’t the biggest and they aren’t the baddest but we do think they’ve got potential to grow, especially in a conference that looks set to be wide open once again.
Montreal opened up their season with a 0-0 draw on the road to Orlando, before rebounding with consecutive wins over Dallas and Miami. In their most recent outing, they went to war with Chicago, playing out a seven-goal thriller - but unfortunately for them, they lost 4-3.
Match PredictionBoth of these teams are capable of pulling a rabbit out of the hat and we’re excited to see what exactly they can produce. DC feel like the more complete team, but Montreal have a whole lot of heart - and for those reasons, we expect to see them play out a pretty entertaining draw this weekend.
