Crystal Palace vs Burnley Prediction (24.02.2024)

The Premier League is back once again this weekend as we get ready for the final set of February fixtures this season. English football’s top flight has been producing some incredible games all campaign long and as we look ahead to the next few months, we expect more of the same. Today, we’ll look at what should be an entertaining clash between Crystal Palace and Burnley.

Roy Hodgson is officially out as Crystal Palace manager and now, it’s time for the club to really focus on the future. They’re currently in the midst of a relegation battle that they can’t really afford, but hopefully for their sake, they’ll get the ‘new gaffer’ bounce. Either way, The Eagles know that big improvements are needed in the weeks and months that lie ahead.

On Monday night, Palace knew that they simply could not afford to lose to Everton in their clash at Goodison Park. The good news? They didn’t. The bad news? They conceded in the 84th minute of the game, after fighting so valiantly to keep hold of the lead.

We’re at the point now where it’s okay for Burnley fans to start panicking. The Clarets enjoyed a really strong run in the Championship but unfortunately for their loyal fanbase, they haven’t been able to make a smooth transition back into the top flight. Vincent Kompany will continue to fight, but it’s easy to understand why there’s so much uncertainty surrounding the club.

If Burnley fans weren’t worried before last Saturday, they certainly will be now. They were beaten and battered across every blade of grass in their clash with Arsenal at Turf Moor, with the final whistle serving as a welcome relief following a 5-0 domination.

We’re in for another important relegation six-pointer here and while it isn’t exactly ‘must win’ for Burnley, you’d have to imagine another defeat would leave their fans questioning what else they can do this season. In our view, the most likely outcome in this one is a draw.
