Coventry and Plymouth take each other on this Tuesday, sitting 19th and 20th in the table, tied on points. That's not all they have in common, because they both come here on the back of a very good win at the weekend, something they'll be looking to use as momentum to take them forward over the next few weeks.
Coventry City Form GuideCoventry have only won four of the 17 games they have played so far this season. Losing out in the playoff final to Luton back in May feels like a decade ago. But are we beginning to finally see them turn a corner, I've stuck with them more than most, but of course, left them alone and went against them on Saturday, when they won by a big margin.
That victory, a 3-0 away win at Millwall, may go down with Coventry fans as being a season changing day. But that only happens if they come out and back it up here, by getting another win, this time at home, where they've not been great this season, but when things click, this is still a very talented side.
Plymouth Argyle Form GuidePlymouth have five wins on the board from 17 games, one more than Coventry, but are on the same points due to the number of draws both teams have had. We continue to see a different version of Plymouth at both home and away, at the weekend they were very impressive, winning 2-0 at home to promotion chasing Sunderland.
But of course, this game is away from home, so that is going to make life much tougher for Plymouth. They seem to hold back and be quite reserved when they play away from home, and that's meaning they can't get into the right positions to attack. They shouldn't fear Coventry, but I fear they will be too defensive here.
Match PredictionA big game, both teams will come here looking to get another three points on the board, and build forward. I am siding with Coventry to do this, Saturday could have been the big momentum change they needed, and on top of that, they face a Plymouth side who have still not worked out how to play away from home.
