We’re in the endgame now, ladies and gentlemen. The Premier League season is entering the final furlong with just a handful of games remaining for clubs up and down English football’s top tier. Whether it be the title race, the relegation battle or anything in between, there’s still a lot left to be determined. Today, we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming clash between Nottingham Forest and Chelsea.
Nottingham Forest Form GuideNottingham Forest have been through a great deal over the course of the campaign between points deductions, managerial changes and a whole lot of uncertainty around the club. Nuno Espirito Santo has done a solid enough job in charge but in order for the season to be seen as a success, they need to go out there in the next few games and really prove that they belong.
Sheffield United started really well against Nottingham Forest but simply couldn’t sustain it, with Nuno’s men not taking too long to really take over the game and impose their will. United wound up going down to ten and from there, it was signed, sealed and delivered in a 3-1 win for Forest.
Chelsea Form GuideChelsea have had another poor season and big questions are going to be raised over the future of Mauricio Pochettino. There are high expectations surrounding the Blues and there have been for well over two decades now. At the very least, they need to make a push for the top half - and the fact that we even have to say that shows just how far this historic club has fallen.
In what was a pretty surprising outcome to many, Chelsea absolutely slapped West Ham last weekend. They just seemed to be firing on all cylinders from the first minute until the very last, and the end result of that was an impressive and comprehensive 5-0 victory.
Match PredictionForest know that a big result here would pretty much secure their place in the top flight for another season, whereas Chelsea are suddenly in a position whereby they can qualify for Europe. We’re expecting a tight and tense game here with the end result being a draw.
