It’s time for the semi-finals of the FA Cup as four clubs stand on the verge of greatness. The two games will be played at Wembley this weekend and while there are certainly favourites between the two encounters, we all know that anything can happen when it comes to the magic of the cup. City’s FA Cup run got underway with a nice 5-0 win over Huddersfield in the third round. From there, they edged past Tottenham 1-0, before battering Luton 6-2. Then, in the quarter-finals, they played host to Newcastle, easing to a comfortable 2-0 win.
Chelsea Form GuideThis is Chelsea’s last chance at claiming a piece of silverware this season and with that in mind, you’d have to imagine Mauricio Pochettino will throw everything he’s got into getting the job done. The Blues have had a really uneven season and that’s putting it lightly, but at this level, it can all change in the space of just 90 minutes - and that’s what they’re shooting for here.
Following a 4-0 win over Preston in the third round, Chelsea drew 0-0 with Villa before defeating the Midlanders 3-1 in their fourth round replay. They overcame adversity to beat rivals Leeds 3-2 in the fifth, before a lovely 4-2 win over Leicester in the quarters.
Match PredictionBased on recent evidence, Chelsea are going to be up for this one, and they may even cause City some problems at the back. In equal measure, it’s not hard to picture a scenario in which Pep’s men run away with it. Either way, the end result will be the same: a Manchester City win.
