Cameroon vs Serbia Prediction (28.11.2022)

On Monday morning, Cameroon and Serbia clash in what is a vital game for both teams in Group G of the World Cup.

The Indomitable Lions kicked off their World Cup campaign with a relatively toothless showing in a 1-0 defeat against Switzerland. The game continued a recent poor run of form for Rigobert Song’s team, as they are now winless in five international games, having suffered three defeats.

A lack of goals has been their main problem of late, as they have scored just two goals in their five-game winless run. Their poor attacking efforts have contributed to under 2.5 goals being scored in their last eight international games.

Cameroon have a woeful recent record in the World Cup, as the defeat against Switzerland was their eighth straight loss in the competition. Another defeat would see them suffer elimination.

Dragan Stojkovic’s team suffered a 2-0 defeat against World Cup favourites Brazil in their opening game of the competition. The loss to the Selecao ended a six-game unbeaten run for Serbia.

However, the game against Tite’s team was always going to be the most difficult in Group G. They will be expecting a much more positive result from this encounter.

Like their opponents, Serbia’s recent record at the World Cup is a poor one, as they have lost four of their last five matches in the competition. They have also conceded at least two goals in all four defeats.

Cameroon have a full complement of players to choose from. Meanwhile, Serbia still have fitness doubts over Juventus winger Flip Kostic after he missed the game against Brazil. His Bianconeri teammate Dusan Vlahovic could start in this clash after only making a cameo from the bench last time out.

Neither team enjoyed great results in their World Cup openers. However, I feel that Serbia are the better of these two teams and will come out on top in this clash.
